Purpose of the Animal-Assisted Human Services (AAHS) Directory

Our goal is to co‑create a seamless, unified, searchable directory that enables consumers and other interested stakeholders to easily find relevant information and navigate Canada’s Animal‑Assisted Human Services (AAHS) Industry with confidence.

Who Can Create an Account?

Animal‑Assisted Human Service Providers (AAHSP) and Animal-Assisted Services Professionals (AASP), as well as for‑profit or not‑for‑profit, public or private organizations, engaged in the business of Animal-Assisted Human Services (AAHS) delivery.

Animal-Assisted Services Professional (AASP): A person who may require a specific designation, certification, or competency level to work with people and animals to deliver AAHS within their defined scope of practice — such as volunteers, educators, facilitators, animal trainers, therapists, counsellors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech‑language pathologists.

Next Steps

1. Complete and submit this form to create your Business Directory Account. Please keep your login information private. All sections must be completed to create an account. To begin, please click on the prompts at the right top of the page.

2. You'll receive an email with a link to confirm and activate your Directory Account. Clicking the link will verify your account and automatically sign you in. Once logged in, click the Service Provider Portal link at the top right corner of the page, where you are cordially invited to create and submit your business profile. You'll receive an email notification once your profile is live and ready to go!
